Public Prosecutor of Supreme Audit Court of Islamic Republic of Iran (SAC)
Mr. Fayyaz Shaojaei was born in 1969 in Miyaneh, Iran. He is an experienced law graduate and a senior judge. He joined SAC in Dec. 1994 and since then has been working in the same organization for the last 22 years. Mr. Shojaei got his L.L.B from Tehran University followed by L.L.M in Criminal Law and Criminology from Tarbiyat Modares University.
Mr. Shojaei was elected as the Public Prosecutor of the SAC during the ninth Parliament on 26th September 2013. Completing successfully his first term as Public Prosecutor, he was nominated once again by the Planning, Budget & Audit Committee of the tenth Parliament for the same position. On 20th July 2016, he could secure the highest majority votes of the MPs (85 %) for the same position.
Before assuming the position of public prosecutor, Mr. Shojaei has served in the following positions:
Deputy Prosecutor General for 2 years
· Chairman of first, third and sixth Court branch at the SAC for 11 consecutive years
· Chairman of legal Council of the SAC
· Assistant prosecutor for 6 years
Mr. Shojaei is a member of some committees and working groups at the SAC. He has published many articles in scientific-practical journals. He is a member of editorial board of Audit Translation Magazine. He also delivers lectures on legal issues for the assistant prosecutors, legal experts and auditors at the SAC.
Mr. Shojaei is married with three children.
