Joint seminar between SAC and Audit Board of Indonesia
For implementation of the MOU singed between the Supreme Audit Court of Islamic Republic of Iran (SAC) and Audit Board of the Republic of Indonesia (PBK RI) on 16th June 2008, a joint seminar on audit of oil and gas was held between the two SAIs on 27-28 April 2010 in Jakarta, Indonesia. The delegation was headed by Mr. Mohammad Hosseini, Director General of Auditing Affairs of Companies and included Mr. Hamid Reza Teymoori , General Auditor and Mr. Kiumars Davoodi, General Auditor.
During the seminar, the two sides became familiar with the organization, authorities, functions and audit activities of each other and exchanged experience and ideas in the field of public audit. Following this, presentations were made about the management of production of gas and oil in Iran and Indonesia. Later at the seminar, the participants exchanged ideas and experience about the audit methodology of oil and gas and production sharing contracts.
At the end of this seminar a joint report was issued. Regarding the next action plan for the signed MOU, it was decided that a delegation from the Indonesian SAI visits Iran later in the current year for the next joint seminar. In the upcoming seminar, the two sides will share knowledge on how to audit oil and gas especially in production and lifting. They will also share information on IT audit conducted by BPK RI. Cooperation on training on IT and performance audit and exchange of experience to develop audit methodology of state owned enterprises will be the other focus area in implementing the same MOU.
