Based on the official invitation of Mr. Mostafa Ali Asghar Pour, Deputy Senior President, Supreme Audit Court of Iran (SAC), a delegation headed by H.E. Mr. Dato' Anwari Suri, Deputy Auditor General of Malaysia visited Tehran from 15-18 April 2011.
The purpose of the same visit was the finalization of MOU for technical and educational cooperation between the Office of the Auditor General of Malaysia and the Supreme Audit Court of Islamic Republic of Iran.At the MOU signing ceremony which was held at the headquarters of SAC, Mr. Anwari Suri announced the readiness of his SAI for transferring the expertise, knowledge and experience in the field of public audit to the Iranian auditors. He also stressed on providing training to audit experts and audit trainers from SAI of Iran. The Deputy Auditor General of Malaysia asserted that signing MOU between the two Muslim countries brings mutual benefit for both sides.
Thanking his counterpart, Mr. Ali Asgharpour proposed that the two SAIs could cooperate and exchange knowledge and experience in the field of financial audit, performance audit and IT audit. He also proposed to share the experience of SAC in providing the Malaysian side with its experience in preventing financial irregularity in the auditees.
The visiting Malaysian delegation also paid a courtesy visit to H.E. Dr. Rahmani Fazli, Senior President of SAC.
The signed MOU is expected to be implemented soon.
